Turkey defeated Serbia 95-90 in their last group match at the European Basketball Championship. The 12 Giant Men finished at the top of Group A and advanced to the Round of 16.

12 GIANT MEN UNDEFEATED IN THE ROUND OF 16
In the 5th and final match of Group A of the 2025 European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket 2025), Turkey defeated Serbia 95-90. With this result, the National Team completed the group with 5 wins out of 5. Turkey will face Sweden, which finished 4th in Group B, in the Round of 16.
WE DID NOT GIVE SERBIA A BREATH
Serbia, which experienced its first defeat, finished in second place in the group. Serbia matched up against Finland in the Round of 16. Starting the match better, Serbia took a 11-8 lead in the 5th minute. Turkey quickly recovered and, with points from Alperen Şengün, achieved a 11-0 run, bringing the score to 19-11 in the 8th minute. Serbia responded with a 7-0 run in the remaining part and the National Team finished the first quarter ahead 19-18.
CEDI, ALPEREN, AND LARKIN CARRIED THE TEAM
In the second quarter, both teams were effective in outside shooting, each hitting 5 shots, and Serbia went to the locker room with a 49-46 lead. In the third period, which featured mutual baskets, Serbia held the scoring advantage until the middle of the 25th minute. In the remaining time, the National Team took the lead with critical baskets from Cedi Osman, Larkin, and Alperen Şengün, entering the final segment ahead 74-73.
In a thrilling fourth quarter, where the scoring lead changed hands multiple times, Turkey played better in the final moments and scored critical baskets from the free-throw line, winning the match 95-90.
