Seventeen years ago in Yozgat, M.Ü. was recorded as having died of "natural causes," but investigations based on evidence collected years later revealed that he had been murdered. Nine suspects, including M.Ü.'s wife and children, were taken into custody in connection with his death. One of the victim's children confessed during questioning that he had killed his father with a shotgun.

The teams of the Yozgat Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted an investigation related to the burial of M.Ü., who died at home at the age of 70 in 2008, in the village of Cihanpaşa, connected to the center.

NINE PEOPLE FROM HIS FAMILY WERE DETAINED

As part of the investigation initiated by the Yozgat Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, nine suspects, including M.Ü.'s spouse and children, were detained based on the evidence collected in Yozgat, Ankara, and Bursa by the Gendarmerie Detectives (JASAT) and the Central District Gendarmerie Command.

In his statement, the suspect Y.Ü. (38), one of the victim's children, confessed to killing his father with a shotgun. After his procedures at the gendarmerie, Y.Ü. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the on-duty judge, while the other suspects were released under judicial control.
