President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan published a message on his social media account regarding the forest fires that have broken out in various parts of the country.
In his message, Erdoğan stated, "Turkey is conducting a major fight against forest fires both in the air and on the ground. To protect our 'green homeland', we are on alert day and night with 27 aircraft, 105 helicopters, nearly 6,000 ground vehicles, and 25,000 heroic forest workers, along with 132,000 volunteers. All our relevant institutions, especially our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, are continuing their efforts under the coordination of AFAD with great sensitivity, dedication, and sacrifice."
3,062 FIRES EXTINGUISHED
Since the beginning of the summer season, we have completely extinguished 3,062 fires that have broken out in our country. I wish success to our heroes who have put their hearts into the firefighting efforts in different regions of our green homeland, and I express my gratitude to each of them for their efforts," he said.
FLAMES HAVE REIGNITED AT 4 POINTS IN BURSA
The forest fire that broke out yesterday in the Orhaneli district of Bursa, which was announced to be largely under control this morning, is still being intervened.

The fire is being fought from the air and ground with 23 helicopters, 2 aircraft, 363 vehicles, and 1,386 personnel.
