The incident occurred last night in the Merveşehir neighborhood of the Şehitkamil district. According to allegations, S.Ç (31), a mother of two, was alone at home when her ex-husband A.K. (36) came to the house. As soon as he entered the house, A.K. tied S.Ç. up, poured a chemical substance on her head, and then fled the scene after calling his relatives. Relatives of S.Ç. who arrived at the scene reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. The seriously injured woman was taken to Gaziantep City Hospital after the first intervention at the scene. It was learned that the woman, who is being treated in the intensive care burn unit, has very serious burns on her head, has lost 99% of her vision, and is still in critical condition.

Cemil Çelik (52), the father of Sibel Külah (31), who had acid poured over her head by her husband in Gaziantep, stated that his son-in-law had planned the attack. Çelik expressed that Adem Külah tied his daughter up with packing tape, then beat her and poured acid on her head and face. Cemil Çelik noted that his daughter's eyes were damaged, with one eye losing 99% of its vision, and said, "They had a fight at home. He had brought acid to the house beforehand. First, he assaulted my child. Then he tied her up with packing tape. Then he tried to strangle her by holding her arms. He poured acid all over her head. My child's face is very bad, her eyes are blind. We are devastated. Her condition is very bad. The doctors are intervening. We are hoping for her vision to be restored," he said.

Çelik, who wants the heaviest punishment for the suspect who caused this pain to his daughter and themselves, said, "They ruined my child, they burned my heart. My child is in intensive care. We are trying to save her eyes. This man has fallen into debt, he has been gambling online. He invested his money in cryptocurrency. There have been disagreements. My daughter had just started working to get out of this debt. She was working as a cleaning staff in a private hospital," he said.
