Donald Trump, who announced that the U.S. Navy is on its way to Iran, made a new statement. Trump announced that the fleet has reached near Iran.

Speaking to Axios from the U.S. press, U.S. President Donald Trump said, "We have a large fleet alongside Iran. It's bigger than the one in Venezuela."
Trump also stated that diplomacy continues to be an option, saying, "They want to make a deal. I know this. They have called many times. They want to talk."

Meanwhile, during the day, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) shared a photo related to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) aircraft carrier on its account on the X social media platform.
The shared post included the statement, "Sailors assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) aircraft carrier are conducting routine maintenance while underway in the Indian Ocean on January 26." It was further stated that the aircraft carrier is deployed in the Middle East to "support regional security and stability."
STATEMENT FROM IRAN
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei stated that the U.S. sending warships to the region is a "show of force." Baghaei emphasized that Iran will respond firmly to any kind of attack against it, saying, "The arrival of one or several warships will not affect Iran's defense determination. Our armed forces are monitoring every development moment by moment and are not wasting a single second to enhance their capabilities. While shows of force and threats are contrary to international law, the violation of these principles affects everyone."
IRAN MAY LAUNCH RETALIATORY ATTACK
An official from the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, speaking to Iranian media, stated that if Iran encounters any violation, they will launch a retaliatory attack targeting various U.S. assets in the region, starting from the Strait of Hormuz.
HEZBOLLAH ISSUED A CHALLENGE
Hezbollah also made a statement regarding claims that the U.S. and Israel would attack Iran. Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, which held a solidarity rally with Iran in the southern suburb of Dahieh in Beirut, said they are targeted by a possible Israeli attack on Iran and that they will defend themselves.
Qassem, in his speech at the rally, stated that unnamed mediators conveyed to them that "the U.S. and Israel are considering the possibility of attacking Hezbollah first, then Iran, or first Iran, then Hezbollah, or both simultaneously."
