In Lahore, Pakistan, the collapse of a study center's roof resulted in the death of 14 students and injuries to 5 others. 7 students are reported to still be under the rubble, and 2 individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.

14 STUDENTS LOSE THEIR LIVES IN TRAGEDY

Punjab Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir stated in a press briefing that the roof of the study center in Lahore's Kahna area collapsed while 35 to 40 students were inside. Nazir reported that many students were rescued from the rubble, and out of 19 students taken to the hospital, 14 lost their lives, while 5 were injured.

THE OLDEST IS 12 YEARS OLD

Nazir shared that the deceased students were between the ages of 7 and 12. Meanwhile, search and rescue officials noted that at least 7 students remain trapped under the debris.

In the investigation launched into the incident, two people, including the owner of the study center, have been taken into custody.
