Two children of Syrian nationality who entered a pond to swim in the Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman drowned and lost their lives. Teams dispatched to the scene reached the lifeless bodies of the children.
Two children of Syrian nationality, aged 12 and 14, who entered a flood protection pond to cool off in the Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman, drowned and lost their lives. It was determined that the children were stuck in mud approximately 4 meters deep, and their lifeless bodies were recovered from the water as a result of search efforts by fire department teams.
REPORTED TO AUTHORITIES AFTER DISAPPEARING FROM SIGHT
The incident occurred at a flood protection pond near the cemetery of Örenli Village in the Gölbaşı district. According to information obtained, Abdullah Elsaç, aged 12, and Talal El Sincar, aged 14, both Syrian nationals who came to the pond with their families, entered the water to cool off. After swimming for a while, their relatives and nearby citizens, noticing that both children had disappeared from sight, panicked and immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
FOUND STUCK IN MUD
Upon the notification, health, fire department, police, and gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Fire department teams from the Gölbaşı Municipality initiated a meticulous search operation in the pond to find the children. Following the efforts, the lifeless bodies of the two children were found stuck in mud at a depth of approximately 4 meters in the pond.
The bodies of Abdullah Elsaç and Talal El Sincar, recovered from the water by the teams, were taken to the Gölbaşı State Hospital morgue for autopsy procedures after an initial examination by health teams stationed at the scene.
While the relatives of the children, upon receiving news of their deaths, experienced nervous breakdowns in front of the hospital, a comprehensive investigation into the incident continues.
