A 23-year-old driver, Suden Ezgi Değirmenci, who fell 300 meters into the Zap River with a light commercial vehicle in Hakkari, died in the hospital where she was taken with serious injuries.
A heartbreaking accident occurred yesterday around 23:30 at the 7th kilometer of the Hakkari-Van highway in the Depin area.
FELL INTO ZAP STREAM FROM 300 METERS
The light commercial vehicle driven by Suden Ezgi Değirmenci (23), heading from Hakkari to Van, rolled into Zap Stream from a height of approximately 300 meters after the driver lost control. Upon notification from passing drivers, Jandarma Search and Rescue, AFAD, UMKE, police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
DIED IN HOSPITAL
As a result of the teams' efforts, Değirmenci was rescued from the vehicle with injuries. Suden Ezgi Değirmenci, who received first aid from the medical team, was taken to Hakkari State Hospital. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, Değirmenci could not be saved. It was reported that the funeral of Suden Ezgi Değirmenci would be buried in Hakkari today after the autopsy procedures.
