In the corruption investigation conducted against the Çankaya Municipality, 25 suspects were arrested on charges of "forming and being a member of a criminal organization," "bribery, giving bribes," and "tampering with the tender process."
Arrest warrants were issued for 25 suspects taken into custody in the corruption investigation against the Çankaya Municipality.
25 SUSPECTS ARRESTED 25 suspects, detained in the corruption investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the CHP-led Çankaya Municipality, were arrested on charges of "forming a criminal organization, being a member", "accepting and giving bribes", and "rigging tenders".
Within the scope of the same investigation, 3 suspects, including Eyüpsultan Deputy Mayor Hasan Karabulut, were taken into custody by Ankara Police Department teams.
Eyüpsultan Deputy Mayor Hasan Karabulut Search and seizure operations continue at the suspects' homes and workplaces.
WHAT HAPPENED? The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had issued detention orders on July 11 for 36 suspects, including dismissed Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, and 30 of the suspects were apprehended.
24 suspects, including Güner, were arrested, while 6 individuals were released under judicial supervision.
