In the İnegöl district of Bursa, 28 middle school students from the same class were hospitalized on suspicion of poisoning after eating 'discounted' raw meatballs bought from a market.
28 students who ate raw meatballs were hospitalized in the İnegöl district of Bursa.
STUDENTS EXPERIENCED NAUSEA AND VOMITING
The incident occurred at around 11:00 in the rural Cerrah Mahallesi Secondary School. It was learned that students from class 5/D ate raw meatballs sold at a discounted price in a market.
After a while, students began to experience nausea and vomiting. When the situation was reported to the school administration, health teams were dispatched to the school.
HOSPITALIZED
The 28 students who fell ill were taken to İnegöl State Hospital by ambulances and private vehicles. It was reported that the students received initial treatment and their health conditions are good.
District National Education Director Halil İbrahim Zengin also visited the students at the hospital.
SAMPLES SENT TO LABORATORY
Following the incident, teams from the District Agriculture Directorate launched an investigation at the market where the raw meatballs were purchased. Samples taken from the products were sent to the laboratory.
