The program held at the Capital National Garden on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the AK Party's founding also witnessed new memberships. Aydın Deputy Ömer Karakaş and Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban, who had been rumored for a while to be switching to the AK Party and who resigned from the İYİ Party, along with İzmir Deputy Mustafa Bilici, who left the New Path Party, had the AK Party badge pinned on them by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Erdoğan, who made important statements at the 'AK Party 25th Establishment Anniversary Program' at the Capital National Garden, pinned badges on the new names who joined his party after his speech.

Aydın Deputy Ömer Karakaş and Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban, who resigned from the İYİ Party, and İzmir Deputy Mustafa Bilici, who left the Yeni Yol Party after the dissolution of the Future Party, joined the AK Party.

Meanwhile, with this development, the AK Party's number of seats in Parliament reached 280.

While the İYİ Party's number of deputies decreased to 27, the CHP's number of deputies also decreased to 44 with Kütahya Deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap joining the Yeni Yol Party.

Due to the deaths of Felicity Party Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez and DEM Party Istanbul Deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder, the loss of parliamentary status of Workers' Party of Turkey Hatay Deputy Şerafettin Can Atalay, and the resignations of AK Party Istanbul Deputy Murat Kurum, who was appointed as Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and CHP deputies Burcu Köksal, Abdurrahman Tutdere, Hasan Baltacı, and Ahmet Önal, who were elected as municipal presidents from their electoral districts, the total number of deputies in the TBMM had decreased from 600 to 592.
