31 Irregular Migrants Rescued Off Turkey's Western Coast

Irregular migrants stranded in 2 dinghies after being pushed back by Greek forces in Turkish waters.

Turkey rescued a total of 31 irregular migrants off the country's western coast, the Turkish Coast Guard Command said on Wednesday.

After receiving information on two rubber dinghies with irregular migrants onboard stranded off the district of Datca district in Mugla province, the Turkish Coast Guard launched an operation.

The migrants, who had been pushed back by Greek forces to Turkish territorial waters, were referred to the provincial migration office.
