June inflation was announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 35.05% year-on-year and by 1.37% month-on-month. With this data, the salary increase for civil servants and retirees for the second half of the year has also been determined. The Turkish Statistical Institute announced the inflation data for June. In June, inflation was 1.37% monthly and 35.05% annually.
The salary increases that directly and indirectly affect workers and retirees in Turkey have also been determined. The salary increase rate for civil servants and retired civil servants is 15.57%, while the increase rate for SGK, Bağ-Kur, agricultural retirees, widows, and orphans is 16.67%.
INCREASED SALARIES WILL BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS STARTING FROM JULY 15
The payment schedule for the increased salaries and monthly payments that millions of civil servants, retirees, and citizens receiving social assistance have been eagerly waiting for has been announced. The new salaries, which will be effective from July 3, will start to be deposited into accounts from the 15th of the month. With the new regulations, the income of approximately 22.5 million citizens will increase.
Approximately 4 million civil servants will be able to see their increased salaries in their accounts on July 15. Since the salary increase is effective from July 3, the salary difference for the period from July 1 to 14 will also be paid on the same day along with the salaries.
THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE FOR RETIREES HAS ALSO BEEN CLARIFIED
The increased monthly payments for retirees will be made on different dates according to their statuses.
SSK retirees will receive their increased monthly payments between July 17 and 26, according to their allocation numbers. Payments for Bağ-Kur retirees will be made between July 25 and 28.
Civil servant retirees who receive their salaries between the 1st and 5th of each month received their July salaries without the increase. The date for the payment of the salary difference for civil servant retirees is expected to be announced later by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
SOCIAL ASSISTANCE WILL ALSO INCREASE
The increase in civil servant salaries will directly affect many social payments indexed to the civil servant salary coefficient. The payment items that will see an increase in this context are as follows:
- 65 years old monthly allowance
- Home care allowance
- Disability allowances
- Family and child assistance
- Widow and orphan allowances
- Collective bargaining bonus
