A woman in Şişli, accompanied by another child, abandoned her 3-day-old baby in a white bag and left it to die in the trash. The mother, who was taken into custody, stated in her initial statement that she threw the baby away because she could not take care of it. While the mother was arrested, the baby, found by citizens 7 hours later, is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

Health teams that arrived upon the notification checked the baby. After determining that the baby was alive, the baby was taken to the hospital after the first intervention. Police teams examining security cameras identified a woman with another child who placed her baby in a white bag and left it in the trash.
"I THREW IT AWAY BECAUSE I COULDN'T TAKE CARE OF IT"
Continuing their investigations, police teams apprehended the mother identified as H.B. In her statement, H.B. said she threw her baby away because she couldn't take care of it. H.B., who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested and sent to prison on charges of "attempted murder." It was learned that the baby is still receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
CITIZENS FOUND THE BABY 7 HOURS LATER
It was learned that the 3-day-old baby was found by citizens approximately 7 hours after being left by its mother. The act of the suspect placing the baby in a bag and then leaving it in the trash was recorded by security cameras.
"A PERSON MUST HAVE A CONSCIENCE"
Eyewitness tradesman Adem Bulut recounted that they saw a live baby left in a bag in the trash when they arrived at work in the morning. Bulut said, "It was the mother who left it. A person must have a conscience. They shouldn't abandon a live baby to death like this."
