The master actor Şekip Taşpınar, known for his role as "Kibritçi Cevat" in the series Kurtlar Vadisi, passed away due to a heart attack in Balıkesir Altınoluk. His wife, Berna Taşpınar, announced that the actor would be buried next to his mother, in accordance with his last wishes.
The veteran actor Şekip Taşpınar, known for his role as "Kibritçi Cevat" in the iconic Turkish television series "Kurtlar Vadisi," has passed away. The 56-year-old actor died of a heart attack in the Altınoluk neighborhood of Edremit, Balıkesir.
HE WAS TREATED IN INTENSIVE CARE MULTIPLE TIMES
Taşpınar, who had been treated in intensive care for weeks due to alcohol poisoning some time ago, was living in Datça, Muğla, recently. The veteran actor, who went to Altınoluk to visit his relatives, fell ill and passed away in the early hours of the morning.
HE WILL BE BURIED NEXT TO HIS MOTHER
Taşpınar's wife, Berna Taşpınar, stated that he would be buried next to his mother, as per the late artist's wishes, saying, "He had gone to visit his sister two days ago. We learned that he passed away from a heart attack in the early hours of the morning. We are very sad. He will be buried next to his mother. May we all be strong in this time of grief."
HE WILL BE LAID TO REST TODAY
Şekip Taşpınar's funeral will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, following the noon prayer, with a ceremony to be held in the Altınoluk neighborhood before he is laid to rest.
