The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced that an initial amount of 4 million TL has been allocated for urgent and basic needs in Rize, which has been affected by floods caused by heavy rainfall.
The rainfall that has been affecting the Eastern Black Sea region for the past two days has negatively impacted life in Rize. The heavy rain caused flooding, the water levels of rivers rose, and landslides occurred.
MATERIAL SUPPORT FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THE DISASTER
The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced on her social media account regarding the disaster in Rize that 4 million TL has been allocated for urgent and basic needs.
In her statement, Göktaş said: "We stand by our citizens affected by the flood and landslide caused by heavy rainfall in Rize. We are allocating an initial amount of 4 million TL for urgent and basic needs in the region. Our Psychosocial Support Teams are on the ground. Get well soon, Rize," she stated.
