In the footage recorded during the forced migration in Gaza, moments of a small child crying while carrying their sibling on their back broke hearts.
Since the attacks by Israel that began on October 7, 2023, Gazans, who are trapped in a narrow area of approximately 360 square kilometers, are fighting for survival. The Israeli army is intensifying its attacks on the city of Gaza, where about 1 million Palestinians have sought refuge, forcing civilians to migrate south.
HEART-WRENCHING IMAGES
In the footage recorded during the migration, moments of a small Gazan child walking while crying and carrying his brother on his back have resonated around the world. While children of the same age play in parks in other parts of the world, children in Gaza are struggling for survival.
FORCED TO WALK FOR MILES
Palestinians who cannot find vehicles are trying to cover the approximately 20-kilometer distance on foot, along with thousands of others, including the injured, sick, elderly, and children. Some are moving with wheelchairs, some with crutches, while children are helping their families by carrying as much as they can.
