In an operation organized in Istanbul, 41 suspects were referred to the courthouse as part of efforts against criminal organizations. The group was caught after being identified as having committed crimes related to 55 actions. Additionally, drugs were seized during the operation.
In an operation targeting criminal organizations in 5 provinces centered in Istanbul, 41 suspects who were detained have been sent to the courthouse. The investigation, coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and carried out by the Gasp Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch, continues regarding the criminal organization related to 55 actions that took place in various districts, primarily involving crimes such as "intentional murder," "intentional injury," "shooting at a workplace," "robbery," "threat," and "extortion."
In the work carried out by the teams, after the detention of 40 suspects in the operation conducted on February 20, one more suspect was captured. In the operations, 1 kilogram and 132 grams of the drug substance referred to as stone cocaine were also seized. It was learned that among the suspects captured in the 5th wave operation against the mentioned criminal organization, 7 were women and 3 were under the age of 18.
3 LEADERS OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE WANTED WITH RED NOTICES
It was also stated that one of the leaders of the organization, which is managed by instructions from abroad, was captured in France and imprisoned, while the other 3 leaders are wanted with red notices. It was understood that the organization used virtual networks to lure children under the age of 18 with promises of power and money, but did not provide any money after the actions.
On the other hand, it was determined that the attack on director Seren Yüce, who was shot and injured in her home in Şişli on December 30, 2025, is also connected to this criminal organization. The 41 suspects, whose procedures at the police have been completed, have been sent to the courthouse.
THE INCIDENT
Under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the teams of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch had been conducting work to dismantle criminal organizations and capture suspects.
In this context, simultaneous operations were carried out on February 20 in Adana, Kocaeli, Sivas, and Sakarya, centered in Istanbul, against the suspects identified as being involved in 55 actions, with the support of the Intelligence, Riot Police, and Special Operations branches, resulting in the capture of 40 suspects.
