The Ministry of Trade announced that 455.2 kilograms of cocaine-type drugs were seized in an operation conducted at Istanbul Airport.

The Ministry of Trade Customs Protection Post/Cargo NARKOKIM Teams conducted an operation in the Cargo-Goods section at Istanbul Airport. During the operation, 455.2 kilograms of cocaine-type narcotic substance were seized. An investigation initiated by the Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is ongoing regarding the incident.

In a statement made by the Ministry, it was stated, "In the operation conducted by the Ministry of Trade Customs Protection Post/Cargo NARKOKIM Teams in the Cargo-Goods section of Istanbul Airport, 455.2 kilograms of cocaine-type narcotic substance were seized. The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing under the Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office."
