It has been reported that 5 Italian tourists lost their lives in an accident while scuba diving in the Maldives.

Five Italian tourists were reported dead after an accident while scuba diving in the Maldives. According to BBC News, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a group of five Italians attempting to explore caves at a depth of 50 meters suffered an accident and lost their lives during the dive.

The report added that local authorities were notified after the team was not seen again following their jump from the boat.
