Due to the aggressive policies pursued by Armenia over the last 36 years, Azerbaijan has incurred material damage exceeding 100 billion manats (58.8 billion dollars) in areas such as civil infrastructure, economy, ecology, military equipment, and others.

The indictment of the case against the former political and military leaders of the so-called Armenian administration in Karabakh reveals the casualties and material damage resulting from Armenia's attacks on Azerbaijan between 1988 and 2024.

56,238 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

According to the information compiled from the indictment, a total of 18,850 Azerbaijani citizens lost their lives as a result of Armenia's attacks between 1988 and 2024, including 3,493 civilians and 15,357 soldiers. During the specified period, 4,435 civilians and 51,803 soldiers, totaling 56,238 Azerbaijani citizens, were also injured due to Armenia's attacks.

ECONOMIC DAMAGE: 58 BILLION DOLLARS

As a result of Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani territories, Azerbaijan's civilian infrastructure, economy, ecology, and military equipment suffered significant damage. According to the indictment, due to Armenia's aggressive policies, the total damage in Azerbaijan exceeded 100 billion manats (58.8 billion dollars).

THE FATE OF 3,983 AZERBAIJANIS IS STILL UNKNOWN

As a result of Armenia's attacks on Azerbaijan during the First Karabakh War, more than 4,000 Azerbaijani citizens went missing. According to the data from the State Commission on Prisoners, Missing, and Captured Citizens of Azerbaijan, the names of 3,983 individuals are on Azerbaijan's missing list. Armenia is avoiding providing information about the fate of these missing persons, 3,209 of whom are soldiers and 774 are civilians, as well as the locations of their mass graves.

HUNDREDS OF REMAINS FOUND

After the Second Karabakh War, 187 remains believed to belong to missing persons were identified in mass graves in the region. Additionally, during road and other construction works in Karabakh, 309 remains thought to belong to missing persons were found. The identities of 165 of the discovered remains have been identified.
