CHICKEN AND RICE PILAF WAS SERVED
The incident occurred at Şule Mete Tetik Imam Hatip Secondary School in Meydan Neighborhood. During an event held at the school, chicken and rice pilaf were served to participants and students. In the time following the meal service, some children and adults who attended the event began experiencing symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
COMPLAINTS GREW RAPIDLY
In the incident, where 25 people were initially hospitalized, the number of those falling ill quickly increased, and the situation was reported to health teams. As symptoms spread, a total of 71 people headed to health facilities with suspected food poisoning.
48 STUDENTS DISCHARGED
Of the students who applied to Kütahya City Hospital and nearby hospitals, 48 were discharged after treatment, while 23 continue to undergo treatment and observation. Authorities are continuing a large-scale investigation into the mass illness incident.
