At least eight irregular migrants were held in northwestern Turkey, provincial security sources said on Wednesday.
The department of anti-smuggling and organized crime in the Kirklareli province, which borders Bulgaria, held the migrants of Moroccan, Algerian, and Lebanese nationalities in a park at the province's center, said a source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
A woman migrant, eight months pregnant, was taken to Kirklareli Training and Research Hospital for a health checkup.
Other irregular migrants were then referred to the provincial migration office.
