A historic step has been taken in the process of a terror-free Turkey. The first group of 30 members of the terrorist organization PKK has burned their weapons. The first images from the symbolic disarmament ceremony held in the Casene Cave have also emerged.

We came here in response to the call made by Abdullah Öcalan on June 19, 2025. Our arrival is also based on the Peace and Democratic Society Call announced by Leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 27, 2025, and the decisions made during the PKK's 12th Congress held on May 5-7."

We hope that this step we have taken will be beneficial to all our people, especially women and youth, to the peoples of Turkey and the Middle East, and to all humanity, bringing peace and freedom."
We wholeheartedly agree with Abdullah Öcalan's statement, "I believe in the power of politics and social peace, not weapons, and I call on you to realize this principle," and we take great pride and honor in fulfilling the requirements of this historic principle."
THE PROCESS WILL TAKE 3-4 MONTHS TO COMPLETE
The process will be completed in 3-4 months and will be monitored by MIT and TSK. Every stage of the weapons surrender will be followed and recorded. It was announced that a screen would be set up near the location of the ceremony by KCK, the umbrella organization that includes the PKK, where video recordings of the ceremony would be published afterward.
According to the information obtained, MIT and TSK were already taking necessary precautions against the possibility of this event being turned into a 'show' and provocation. It was learned that the issue was also brought up during the meeting between the DEM Party and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the day before.
