It was determined that Y.A., a 16-year-old Afghan national who was stabbed to death in a fight that broke out between paper collectors in Ataşehir, Istanbul, on the night of November 2, was stabbed by his cousin H.A. (21). Six suspects, who were tracked by examining 142 hours of security camera footage, were caught in the recycling area in Esenyurt and referred to the courthouse.
In the fight that broke out in Ataşehir, Istanbul, the cousin H.A. (21), who was wanted in connection with the stabbing death of Afghan national Y.A. (16), and 5 suspects were caught in Esenyurt. It was determined that a feud had arisen between the parties after a fight that had occurred again 20 days earlier over collecting paper. As the 6 suspects were referred to court, the murder and the moments when the suspects fled were captured by security cameras.
In İçerenköy Neighborhood, in a fight that broke out among paper collectors around 23:00 on November 2, Y.A. was stabbed to death. Police teams who came to the scene upon the report determined that the fight was a continuation of an argument that had occurred again 20 days earlier over collecting paper.
142 HOURS OF SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE EXAMINED
In the security camera footage, it was seen that the suspects left the scene after stabbing Y.A. Teams of the Homicide Bureau determined the escape route of the suspects by examining 142 hours of security camera footage. The tracking of the suspects, whose identities were identified, through camera footage continued until the recycling area in Esenyurt. In the operation carried out there, 6 Afghan national suspects were detained.
IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MURDER WAS COMMITTED BY HIS COUSIN
It was learned that the suspects interrogated at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate confessed their crimes, and it was determined that Y.A.'s cousin H.A. committed the murder. Four of the suspects were referred to court from the Public Order Branch Directorate, while 2 suspects under the age of 18 were referred to court from the Juvenile Branch Directorate.
