The incident occurred around 11:00 AM at an apartment on the third floor of the 5-story Kardeş Apartment in Hacı İlyas Neighborhood. His sister entered his room and tried to wake him. When she saw that her brother was not responding, she reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. During the medical examination, it was determined that Fahri Tokatlı had passed away.

After the crime scene investigation teams completed their work, the body of Fahri Tokatlı was taken to the morgue of Amasya University Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.
