According to Nurdan Eriş's account, the couple married in Switzerland in 2018. Eriş said they became attached to Levent because their children grew up without a father.
Eriş, who stated that she sold her company in 2018, also recounted that before that, she had sent money to Levent from her company in America.
Eriş claimed that Haluk Levent requested money from her for various reasons both before and after the marriage.

Nurdan Eriş claimed that her husband cited his debts as a reason when asking her for money.
Eriş stated, "Most of the time he would say, 'I have debts, I need to pay, there are loan sharks, the mafia is after me.' He used me."
Eriş, who noted that in the 8th year of their marriage she began to view events differently, claimed that she believes her husband defrauded her.
It was also reported that Eriş is among the suspects in the ongoing investigation and has been sent to prison.

Nurdan Eriş decided to divorce Haluk Levent.
It was stated that the divorce process has been initiated to end the marriage that began in Switzerland, but official procedures must be completed.

In her testimony, Nurdan Eriş said that in the past Haluk Levent invited her to Turkey, and upon this invitation, she came to the country.
Eriş, who also recounted sending money to Levent according to the news on ATV, described how she felt after the events with these words:
"I feel like an idiot right now. A few years ago, he asked me to come to Turkey. I came. I sent money. He hadn't been coming home for 4-5 years. He would come occasionally. I have already made the decision to divorce.
