Starting his post with a cautious expression, Çağlayan indicated that he wanted to address a topic that had been bothering him for a long time. Emphasizing that he did not intend to create controversy, Çağlayan stressed that the requirements of that religion should be fulfilled when entering any sacred place. He stated that this situation is independent of personal beliefs and expressed that sacred places are a common area of respect.

Citing the example of not being able to enter churches abroad with a hat, Çağlayan expressed that a similar sensitivity should be shown when entering the mosque courtyard. Çağlayan stated, "Just as you cannot enter churches abroad with a hat on your head, I believe you should not be uncovered in the mosque courtyard," indicating that this approach is a universal rule of respect.
In his statement, Çağlayan acknowledged that different beliefs can exist, yet argued that the other believers in sacred places should not be disturbed, saying, "No one has the right to disturb the other believers in the sacred place we enter."
In his post, Çağlayan said, "I do not want to spark a new debate now, but I want to write about a situation that has been bothering me for a long time. When entering a sacred place of a religion, we must fulfill the requirements of that religion. We should fulfill whatever the rules of Islam require when entering the mosque courtyard. Just as you cannot enter churches abroad with a hat on your head, I believe you should not be uncovered in the mosque courtyard either. Your belief may be different, but I believe no one has the right to disturb the other believers in the sacred place we enter."
