While the gradual integration process is expected to officially begin on Monday, February 2, in accordance with the agreement reached between the Syrian government and YPG/SDF, a notable step has come from the terrorist organization.
CURFEW IN HASAKEH AND QAMISHLI
Hours before the agreement comes into effect, YPG declared a curfew in Hasakeh and Qamishli, where forces loyal to the Syrian government will be stationed. According to a statement from YPG's so-called security unit, a curfew will be implemented in the city of Hasakeh on February 2, and in the district of Qamishli from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on February 3. It was claimed that the decision was made for the "security, stability, and peace of the local population," and that actions would be taken against those who oppose it. No statement has yet been made by the Syrian government regarding the matter.
SECURITY TO BE ASSUMED BY DAMASCUS GOVERNMENT FROM FEBRUARY 2
It is anticipated that the agreement, which includes the assumption of administration and security by security forces loyal to the Syrian government in Hasakeh and Qamishli, will begin to be implemented from Monday, February 2. In the towns and cities liberated from the occupation of the terrorist organization YPG by the Syrian army, Syrians had taken to the streets to celebrate with three-starred Syrian flags and national songs.
Aleppo Police Chief Muhammad Abdulgani visited Ayn al-Arab (Kobani), which is under the occupation of the organization, within the framework of the ceasefire and gradual integration agreement between the Syrian government and the terrorist organization YPG, and stated that they were working to ensure public order in the region and to restructure security units.
