In Maltepe, Istanbul, a person ran over and killed 27-year-old Baran Iren, with whom he had a traffic argument. In the incident captured by security cameras, it was seen that the driver maneuvered back and forth several times before hitting Iren, who was dragged for several meters.
In Maltepe, Batuhan E. (27) hit Baran İren (27), with whom he had a dispute in traffic, with his vehicle. While Baran İren, who was taken to the hospital after the incident, lost his life, Batuhan E. was taken into custody. The incident was captured by security cameras, and the suspect was referred to the court with a request for arrest.

The incident occurred around 02:40 last night in the Fındıklı neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a dispute arose between Batuhan E. and Baran İren for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, Batuhan E. drove his car with the license plate 01 AEM 120 over Baran İ. As a result of the impact, İren was dragged about 3 meters and got stuck between the sidewalk and the vehicle.
HE LOST HIS LIFE
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial intervention by the medical teams, severely injured Baran İren was taken to the hospital, where he lost his life. After the incident, the driver B.E., who fled by hitting parked vehicles, was quickly caught by the police. Following the incident, the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation for the crime of 'intentional killing'. The suspect, whose procedures at the police station were completed, was referred to the courthouse. After completing his statement at the prosecutor's office, Batuhan E. was referred to the court with a request for arrest.
