A 12-year-old student in the Mamak district of Ankara reported that he was beaten during recess after being tied up with packing tape by his friends. The young boy stated that he was punched in the face and his head was slammed to the ground, and he also mentioned that those moments were recorded on a cell phone, while he filed a complaint against his attackers.
A 12-year-old 6th-grade student studying at Şehit Kadir Yalçın Middle School in the Mamak district of Ankara reported that he was a victim of peer bullying.
"HE TIED MY HAND AND FOOT WITH PACKING TAPE"
According to the information obtained, the 12-year-old child gave a statement at the Child Protection Unit accompanied by a lawyer and a social worker regarding the incident he experienced. In his statement, the child noted: "I am studying in the 6th grade at Şehit Kadir Yalçın Middle School. On April 3, 2026, around 11:30 AM, I was in the classroom during the break after the 4th lesson. I had my back turned. Suddenly, my friend named C.D. jumped on me for no reason and tied my hand and foot with packing tape.

After that, he punched me in the face, choked me, and slammed my head on the ground while tying me up. While doing all this, B. helped him with the taping, and I.E.H. recorded everything with his phone in video and photo. My friend N.Y.D. also witnessed the events. While this friend was trying to save me, C.D. insulted him and tried to stop him. I am filing a complaint against C.D., who assaulted me and tied me up with packing tape. I am also filing a complaint against B. and I.E.H., who assisted him."
