The leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, had become a prominent figure in the political agenda as the person who initiated the İmralı process. Following the second visit of the DEM Party delegation to İmralı, Devlet Bahçeli held his first group meeting and stated, "It is my sincere wish that the discussions between the DEM delegation and İmralı provide unconditional support for a terrorism-free Turkey and that the anticipated call is made as soon as possible."

The leader of the MHP, Devlet Bahçeli, called for the end of terrorism after meeting with the terrorist leader Öcalan last October, and following this, a delegation from the DEM Party made two visits to İmralı after a 4.5-year hiatus.

NO CALL WAS MADE AFTER THE SECOND MEETING

After the second İmralı visit of the DEM Party delegation, no call for the terrorist organization to lay down arms came from the terrorist leader Öcalan.

Speaking at his party's first group meeting after the second İmralı visit, Bahçeli used striking expressions.

"IT IS MY SINCERE WISH THAT THE EXPECTED CALL BE MADE"

Bahçeli stated, "It is my sincere wish that the meetings between the DEM delegation and İmralı provide unconditional support for a terrorism-free Turkey and that the expected call is made as soon as possible." He added, "How happy is the one who says I am a Turk. How happy is the dawn of a terrorism-free Turkey. As I conclude my words, I greet you all with my respects and wish you a week filled with success."

It remains a matter of curiosity how Bahçeli's words regarding the expected call, made during his party's group meeting in October, will be received in his last group meeting.
