COMMISSION DECISION TAKEN
A frost commission has been established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The commission will investigate the damage to agricultural lands caused by frost.
DAMAGE IN AGRICULTURE IS GREAT
It is stated that the damage is significant due to sudden frost events affecting Turkey's leading fruit production regions. While the risk is increasing for many products, especially apples, hazelnuts, cherries, apricots, and grapes, the air temperatures dropping to minus 14 degrees Celsius at night pose a threat to losses. In some products, it is reported that the loss is 100%, and it is stated that the price increase will be effective for many products due to this loss.
