The United Arab Emirates, which has some American military facilities in the Gulf, announced that it would not allow any attacks against Iran from its territory. The U.S., which has been amassing military forces around Iran, recently deployed an aircraft carrier to the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) stated in a statement that "the UAE will not allow attacks on Iran to be launched from its territory."

The statement emphasized that "the UAE reaffirms its commitment not to allow its airspace, territory, or waters to be used for any hostile military action against Iran."

LOGISTICAL SUPPORT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED EITHER

The statement also mentioned that the UAE has rejected providing logistical support for the attacks, stating that "dialogue, de-escalation, adherence to international law, and respect for state sovereignty are the best ways to address the current crises."

US SHIP IN THE REGION

The UAE is hosting thousands of US personnel at the Al Dhafra Air Base near the capital Abu Dhabi. The base is one of several American military facilities in the Gulf.

The US has been building up forces around Iran in response to long-standing threats. Most recently, the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was deployed to the region.

THOUSANDS OF DEATHS
