The Turkish Football Federation announced that it has referred Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club and Club President Nahit Eren to the Professional Football Discipline Board. The reason for the referral was stated as 'damaging the reputation of football' and 'ideological propaganda' due to the club's social media posts.
Bad news came from the Turkish Football Federation to Amedspor, which continues to lead in the TFF 1st League. The federation referred Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club and Club President Nahit Eren to the Professional Football Discipline Board.
REASON FOR REFERRAL EXPLAINED
In a statement made on the official website of the Turkish Football Federation, the reasons for the referral were shared in detail. The statement indicated that Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club was referred to the discipline board due to posts made on the club's official social media account on January 22, 2026.
The statement from the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) said:
"Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club is referred to the PFDK in accordance with Article 38 of the Football Discipline Regulation due to 'statements aimed at damaging the reputation of football' made through a post published on the club's official social media account on January 22, 2026, and due to 'ideological propaganda' in accordance with Article 42 of the Football Discipline Regulation,
It has been decided to refer Amed Sportif Faaliyetler Club President Nahit Eren to the PFDK without precaution due to 'statements aimed at damaging the reputation of football' made through a post published on the club's official social media account in accordance with Article 38 of the Football Discipline Regulation."
