The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation against Turabi Çamkıran, who is known from a competition program and became a topic of controversy with his English song titled "Wine Me, Dine Me," released last week, on charges of "obscenity." A warrant for Turabi's arrest has been issued.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED
Recently, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation against Turabi for "obscenity" due to the "morally corrupt" and "derogatory towards women" expressions in the song and video that sparked public outrage.
ARREST WARRANT ISSUED
Upon the request of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Ankara 9th Peace Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Turabi Çamkıran.
ACCESS TO HIS SONG WAS BLOCKED
The Ministry of Family and Social Services stated that Turabi's song could negatively affect the mental and spiritual development of children and young people with "sexist expressions" and requested a ban on the video's broadcast. The ministry also noted that "the content on websites used by millions could disrupt the general structure of society." The Ankara 6th Peace Criminal Court, evaluating the application, blocked access to Turabi's song 'Wine Me, Dine Me' on February 3rd.
