In the Kandıra district of Kocaeli, a car lost control and fell into a creek. Teams that arrived at the scene upon notification rescued the father and son from the vehicle. Unfortunately, the father and son could not be saved at the hospital where they were taken.
At around 00:00 on Sakarya Street in Akbal Neighborhood, Kandıra district of Kocaeli, the car driven by Cem Yel fell into the Sarısu Stream after losing control. Upon notification from the surrounding people, health, fire, police, AFAD, and underwater-above water search and rescue teams were dispatched to the accident site.
FATHER AND SON LOST THEIR LIVES
The father Cem Yel and his son Berkay Yel, who were trapped in the car, were rescued by the teams' efforts. The injured were transferred to Kazım Dinç Kandıra State Hospital by ambulance after the initial intervention of the health teams. Despite all the interventions by the doctors, the father and son could not be saved. While the car was being lifted out of the stream with a crane, an investigation was initiated regarding the accident.
