In a middle school in the Seyhan district of Adana, a female 6th-grade student wounded her classmate in the arm with a bread knife she had brought from home, saying, 'You gossiped about me.' While the slightly injured student was taken to the hospital as a precaution, the student who attacked with the knife was taken to the Juvenile Branch Directorate by police teams. After the incident, education at the school was suspended for 1 day.

GOSSIP ARGUMENT TURNS INTO KNIFE ATTACK
In the incident at Aliye İzzet Begoviç Middle School in Gürselpaşa Neighborhood, allegedly an argument over gossip broke out between 2 female students in the 6th grade. During recess, the student who went over to her friend said, “You gossiped about me,” and wounded her friend in the arm with a bread knife she had put in her bag at home and brought to school.
INJURED STUDENT TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
When other students informed their teachers of the situation, police and medical teams were dispatched to the school. The student, who was slightly injured in the arm, was taken to the hospital as a precaution after first aid.
TAKEN TO THE CHILDREN'S BRANCH DIRECTORATE
The student who attacked with a knife was taken to the Children's Branch Directorate by police teams. Due to the incident, education and training at the school was suspended for 1 day.
