45-year-old teacher Çiğdem Karagülle, who suffered an epileptic seizure in a swimming pool in Malatya, could not be saved despite being taken to the hospital.

A 45-year-old teacher who collapsed in a swimming pool in Malatya died in the hospital where she was taken. The incident occurred on the evening of April 3, Friday, in the swimming pool of a life and sports center located in the Yeşilyurt district. According to reports, two lifeguards on duty provided first aid to 45-year-old Çiğdem Karagülle, who was said to have collapsed in the pool and was known to be an epilepsy patient. Despite all efforts by doctors at the hospital she was taken to after the intervention at the scene, Karagülle could not be saved.

FAREWELL TO HER LAST JOURNEY

Çiğdem Karagülle, whose husband is a police officer, was bid farewell to her last journey with a funeral ceremony held at the city cemetery following the noon prayer.

The ceremony was attended by Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz, MHP Malatya Provincial Chairman, CHP Malatya Provincial Chairman, Provincial Police Chief Kayhan Ay, Provincial National Education Director Behçet Bakır, some district mayors, teachers, students, as well as citizens and family members.
