In the Esentepe neighborhood of Elazığ, 25-year-old Meryem Yalçınkaya, who was seriously injured in a fire caused by the overturning of a stove, passed away after three days of treatment in the hospital.

Maryam Yalçınkaya (25), who was injured in a fire caused by a toppled stove in a single-story house in Elazığ, passed away three days later at the hospital where she was being treated.

On January 29, a fire broke out in a single-story house on Yaygın Street in Esentepe Neighborhood due to the stove tipping over during the afternoon hours. While an unnamed mother and one daughter managed to escape, the other daughter, Maryam Yalçınkaya, was trapped in the flames.

SHE PASSED AWAY

Upon notification, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. With the efforts of the teams, Maryam Yalçınkaya, who was severely injured, was rescued from the house, along with her mother and sister, who were affected by the smoke, and they were taken to the hospital. The fire was brought under control and extinguished. Maryam Yalçınkaya, who was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, passed away today.

INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

While Yalçınkaya's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy, the investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
