US President Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social account that he congratulated Takaiçi and his party. In his statement, Trump said, "Sanae's bold and wise decision to call for elections has achieved great success. It is an honor for me to support you and your coalition."

The US President, who described the success of Takaiçi's party in the elections as "historic," also emphasized his support for the Japanese people who went to the polls.
ELECTION RESULTS IN JAPAN
According to the results of the early general elections held in Japan, Prime Minister Takaiçi Sanae's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) won the race by a historic margin.
According to a report by state television NHK based on the ballot counting results, Takaiçi's party LDP won 316 of the 465 seats in the lower house of parliament, the House of Representatives.
The LDP increased its number of seats from 198 to 316, thus surpassing the threshold of 310 seats, which is considered two-thirds of the seats in the parliament for the ruling party. With this result, the LDP became the first party to achieve this success in post-World War II Japan.
