Teams from the Public Order Branch Directorate's Wanted Persons Bureau conducted operations to capture the fugitive Deniz T., who has a prison sentence of 60 years and 6 months for robbery and murder. Police teams detained Deniz T., who was found to be hiding in a house in Sancaktepe.

THEY ROBBED THE TAXI AND STRANGLED THE DRIVER TO DEATH

It was determined that Deniz Tekgarip, brought to the Wanted Persons Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate, along with 2 accomplices, robbed a taxi they boarded from a taxi stand in Sarıgazi on March 18, 1998, to go to Karabük, and strangled the driver Reşat Gökçe to death before throwing him out of the vehicle in Pendik. It was established that Deniz T., who was captured after the incident, was released during the trial process, committed simple sexual assault in 2016, and has been wanted since October 6, 2022, with a sentence of 60 years and 3 months in prison.

The fugitive convict was handed over to the prison after processing.
