The deployment of thousands of U.S. troops to the United Arab Emirates has increased tensions in the region. While images of intense military shipments draw attention, experts indicate that the UAE is a target for Iran due to its cooperation with the U.S. This military presence is behind Iran's attacks on Gulf countries, and it is stated that tensions in the region could escalate further.
With the increase of the U.S. military presence in the Middle East, striking images have emerged in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As moments of numerous U.S. soldiers being deployed to the country became a trending topic on social media, comments were made that the tension in the region has escalated to a new level.
INTENSE MILITARY ACTIVITY IN THE IMAGES
The video shows U.S. soldiers being collectively dispatched to the region, along with military vehicles and equipment. The images indicate that the U.S. is increasing its military preparations in the Gulf, and the UAE is considered to have become a critical base in this process.
WHY IS THE UAE TARGETED BY IRAN?
According to experts, the main reason Iran targets the UAE and other Gulf countries is their military cooperation with the U.S. The Iranian government clearly states that it sees countries using their territory for U.S. operations as "legitimate targets."
Indeed, after the war began, Iran launched missile and drone attacks against many Gulf countries, including the UAE.
TENSION IS ESCALATING
Recent developments reveal that the UAE has become not only an economic center but also a critical position militarily. The deployment of U.S. soldiers to the region and Iran's strong response to this has led to comments that the tension in the Gulf may further increase.
U.S.-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations continue between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the U.S. launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where U.S. bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the U.S.-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
