A 17-year-old high school student, K.B.S., urinated on the roof of the apartment building and then stole birds from a person's cage, placing them in a motorcycle basket before leaving the area. In his statement to the police, he defended his actions by saying, "I really had to go." He was arrested for theft.
A high school student who urinated in an elevator after stealing birds from the roof of an apartment in Adana was caught. The arrested suspect reportedly said, "I was very desperate, I had to go to the bathroom. After stealing the birds, I put them in the basket of my motorcycle and left the area. The birds flew away while I was going home."
CAUGHT IN AN OPERATION
The incident occurred on January 1 in an apartment in the Osmangazi neighborhood of the central Sarıçam district. Allegedly, the high school student K.B.S. (17) entered an apartment wearing a motorcycle helmet. After entering the apartment, K.B.S. took the elevator and urinated. Then, the suspect went up to the roof of the building, hid 3 pigeons, 2 partridges, and birds in a cage belonging to Uğur Kaygısız inside his jacket, and fled. Those moments were captured second by second on the apartment's security camera. After the incident, Kaygısız, who filed a complaint, stated that police teams had started working to catch the suspect. Teams from the Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau of the Public Order Branch examined the security cameras of the apartment and the surrounding area. As a result of the investigations, K.B.S. was detained in an operation at the house where he lived with his family.
"I WAS VERY DESPERATE"
During his interrogation at the police station, K.B.S. reportedly said, "I was very desperate, I had to go to the bathroom. After stealing the birds, I put them in the basket of my motorcycle and left the area. The birds flew away while I was going home." K.B.S., who had no prior criminal record, was arrested by the court to which he was referred after his procedures.
