The incident occurred yesterday around 11:30 AM in the Gürselpaşa neighborhood of the Seyhan district. Isa Kaplan, the building attendant of the site, went to the container on Mavi Boulevard to dump the trash he collected from the apartments. While searching the trash for stale bread to feed the small livestock in his neighborhood, Kaplan found a human skull wrapped in paper in one of the bags. Panicking, Kaplan reported the situation to the site's security officer. The site workers, unable to determine whether the skull was real, alerted the police, who dispatched teams to the address.
SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE IS UNDER REVIEW
Crime scene investigation teams secured the found skull after conducting their work. Homicide Bureau teams also began examining the trash bag containing the skull and the security camera footage from the area. The site's security officer, Ramazan Zenginoğlu (57), stated, "The janitor found the skull while dumping the trash. He called me, and I went to him. At first, we couldn't be sure if it was real. We informed the police. They took it away."
The skull, believed to belong to a child, was taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute. An investigation has been initiated.
