The detained leader of the Victory Party, Ümit Özdağ, published an open letter to the members of his party's youth branch regarding Öcalan's call. Özdağ stated, "They want to destroy the national, unitary, and secular structure of the Republic of Turkey." Calling on Victory Party members not to give in to provocations, Özdağ added, "Do not deviate from the path of law, just as you have not until now."

In a written statement from his X account, Özdağ stated; "Our country is at a historic crossroads! Separatists claim that the Republic of Turkey was wrongly established 100 years ago, and they want to destroy the national, unitary, and secular structure of the Republic of Turkey.
"WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE DESTRUCTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY"
As the Victory Party, just as we have steadfastly defended the indivisible integrity of the Turkish state and the Turkish nation until today, we will continue to defend it with determination! We will not allow the PKK terrorist organization to destroy the Republic of Turkey established by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, nor will we allow insults to our War of Independence and our republic. Those who say 'Öcalan and DEM should speak, Ümit Özdağ and the Victory Party should be silent' will not silence us!
"NEVER COMPROMISE WITH PROVOCATIONS"
The Turkish nation knows why Ümit Özdağ was arrested. You, my young brothers and sisters from the Victory Party, will continue to defend the rights of the Turkish nation with a strong and dynamic stance, while respecting the laws, just as you have until now. Never compromise with provocations. Do not stray from the legal path, just as you have until now. I want you to be good children, good students, and good citizens. Only if you are good children, good students, and good citizens will you become the Turkish children who will win the Victory."
