Twenty-five people, who are alleged to have extorted money by shooting at numerous businesses in Istanbul, were captured in four separate operations. Among the suspects, which include two female hitmen, 17 were arrested by the court to which they were brought.

25 people were arrested in 4 operations aimed at capturing suspects who allegedly shot at numerous businesses, from hospitals to cafes, to extort money in Istanbul.

The Istanbul Police Department's Public Order Branch teams initiated work to capture the suspects involved in armed attacks on businesses, homes, and vehicles in Bakırköy, Beyoğlu, Ümraniye, Başakşehir, Üsküdar, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Sancaktepe, Küçükçekmece, and Kadıköy.

Police teams identified the suspects who shot at hospitals, cafes, offices, and vehicles by reviewing hundreds of hours of security camera footage. The suspects were apprehended in 4 separate operations.

25 SUSPECTS DETAINED

In operations that also involved the Special Operations Branch teams, 25 suspects were detained. During searches conducted at homes, 4 handguns, a large number of bullets, stolen motorcycles, and 4 computers were seized.

TWO FEMALE HITMEN ARRESTED

It was learned that among the suspects processed at the Robbery Bureau, there were two female hitmen. It was reported that one of the female suspects, B.B., had a previous criminal record, while the other suspect, E.A. (33), had 6 criminal records.

It was learned that the two women, who played an active role in the armed attacks, were captured on security cameras. After their procedures at the police station were completed, it was reported that 13 of the 18 suspects sent to the courthouse were arrested. The 7 individuals captured in the last operation are still undergoing legal proceedings at the courthouse.

17 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

After their procedures at the police station, 17 of the suspects sent to the courthouse were arrested by the court and sent to prison. Meanwhile, judicial control measures were applied to 7 individuals, while 1 person was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor's office.
