In the drug investigation, famous broadcaster Ela Rumeysa Cebeci, whose test results came back positive, was arrested by the court to which she was referred after her statement at the prosecutor's office on charges of facilitating drug use.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the news anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who tested positive in a drug test at the Forensic Medicine Institution, arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse for her statement. Cebeci, whose statement procedures at the prosecutor's office were completed, was arrested by the court she was brought before.
ELA RUMEYSA CEBECİ GAVE A STATEMENT AT THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
News anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was detained a few days ago as part of the drug investigation and later released, came to the courthouse to give her statement. In the examination conducted at the Forensic Medicine Institution on the sample taken from her hair, drugs were detected, and Cebeci gave a statement to the prosecutor's office.
ARRESTED
After her statement at the prosecutor's office, news anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci was referred to the Peace Criminal Court, where she was arrested on charges of facilitating drug use.
WHAT HAPPENED?
As part of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was announced that three other individuals, including Mehmet Akif Ersoy, were also detained by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, and that Ersoy was removed from his position as the General Manager of Habertürk TV by the TMSF following this process. Mehmet Akif Ersoy was arrested by the court he was brought before on charges of "providing a place and opportunity for drug use," "gaining sectoral and material benefits by engaging women around him in sexual relations," and "establishing and managing an organization."
FAMOUS NEWS ANCHORS WERE ALSO DETAINED
Additionally, it was reported that news anchors Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, Meltem Acet, and Hande Sarıoğlu were also detained as part of the same investigation and were referred to the Forensic Medicine Institution after their procedures at the courthouse.
ELA RUMEYSA CEBECİ'S BLOOD CONTAINED MARIJUANA AND COCAINE
In the samples taken from news anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci's hair, substances including 'marijuana, synthetic drugs, cocaine, and their metabolites' were found. It was learned that no evidence of drug substances was found in the blood samples taken from Cebeci. The test results of news anchor Meltem Acet were negative.
