Acting on bad odors coming from an apartment in Çorum's Ulukavak neighborhood, teams found the lifeless body of 52-year-old Efkan Bahri Esgin. Health teams entering the apartment with a fire department ladder truck confirmed that Esgin had lost his life. While his body was taken to the hospital for an autopsy, police launched an investigation into the incident.
Upon the reports of neighbors about foul odors coming from an apartment in Çorum, teams arriving at the scene encountered the lifeless body of a 52-year-old man.
HEAVY ODOR SPREAD AROUND
The incident occurred on Tarakçı 1st Street in Ulukavak Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, residents of the building noticed heavy and foul odors spreading from the apartment of 52-year-old Efkan Bahri Esgin, who resided on the 2nd floor of the 7-story building on the street, and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. As the door could not be opened, fire brigade teams entered the apartment with the help of a ladder truck.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
During the checks inside, Efkan Bahri Esgin was found lying motionless on the floor. In the initial examination conducted by health teams entering the scene, it was determined that the 52-year-old man had lost his life. After the crime scene investigation teams completed the necessary work at the house, Esgin's body was taken to the morgue of Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police teams launched an investigation into the incident.
