A 4-year-old boy who went missing while picnicking with his family in the Muradiye district of Van was found lifeless in an irrigation canal above the waterfall. The child was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions. A judicial investigation into the incident continues.
A 4-year-old child who came to the Muradiye district of Van for a picnic with his family and fell into the water while playing lost his life.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred near the Muradiye Waterfall. The family, who came from Iğdır to the region to sightsee and have a picnic, noticed that their 4-year-old son was not with them while they were making preparations. Upon the child's disappearance, a search effort was initiated by the family and those around them. As a result of the searches, the lifeless body of the unfortunate child was found in the irrigation canal located at the upper part of the waterfall.
JUDICIAL INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
The child, removed from the water, was taken by ambulance first to Muradiye State Hospital and then to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (Van YYÜ) Dursun Odabaş Medical Center after initial intervention at the scene. Despite all interventions made there, it was determined that the little child had lost his life.
While the child's body was referred to the forensic medicine institution for autopsy procedures, it was learned that the judicial investigation into the incident continues.
